Volume Duck End User License Agreement
Last updated: 2026-11-06
This agreement is between you and Shahar Ben David, [LEGAL_ADDRESS], [COUNTRY] ("we", "us"). By installing or using Volume Duck (the "Software") you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not install or use the Software.
1. License, not sale
We license the Software to you; we do not sell it. We keep all rights in it. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software as described here.
2. Free license
The Software is free. You get a license by signing up with your email address; there is nothing to pay.
3. License and activations
A license is one license for one person (the "Licensee"). You may activate it on up to 3 computers that you own or control and that you use yourself. You can move a license by deactivating a computer in the Software or in your account on this website and activating another. You may use the Software while producing music and audio for any purpose, including commercial releases.
4. What you may not do
You may not: copy or redistribute the Software, your license key or your license file; sell, rent, lease, lend or share them (except as section 3 allows); reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or modify the Software, or remove or bypass its licensing or protection, except where the law gives you that right despite this clause; use the Software to build a competing product; or use it in violation of the law.
5. Your work
Audio you create while using the Software belongs to you.
6. Updates
We may offer updates. We may stop offering older versions.
7. Activation and online checks
The Software contacts our server to activate, to renew your license file, and optionally to check for updates. The data involved is described in our Privacy Policy. A license does not stop working because you are offline or because our server is down. It stops only if we have told the Software that your license was revoked for breach of this agreement, or that the computer was removed from the license (you can activate it again).
8. Termination
A revoked license is deactivated and you must stop using the Software. We may revoke a license if you materially breach this agreement (for example by publishing your key); we will tell you why and, where reasonable, give you the chance to fix it first. You can end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Software. Sections 4, 5, 9, 10 and 11 survive termination.
9. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is". We try to make it work well but we do not promise that it is error free, that it will work with every system or host, or that it will not interrupt your work. Back up your projects. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties.
10. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for the license, which for a free license is zero, unless mandatory law says otherwise. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or lost recordings. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any right you have as a consumer under mandatory consumer law.
11. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of [COUNTRY]. The competent courts of [CITY], [COUNTRY] have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you keep the right to use the courts of your country of residence where mandatory law gives you that right.
12. Changes
We may update this agreement for future versions of the Software; the version that applies to you is the one shown when you install.
